Pilates Cape Town

Pilates is a structured exercise programme, designed by Joseph Pilates, with the purpose of stretching and strengthening the muscles, correcting muscle imbalances, improving posture and increasing awareness of the body. It was designed for the rehabilitation of injured ballet dancers and gymnasts, but has become popular with regular fitness enthusiasts. There are six basic principles in Pilates: Concentration, Control, Centering, Precision, Breathing and Flowing Movement.
