Cupping

Cupping is an ancient healing technique used in many healing traditions like Chinese Medicine and Unani-Tibb (Greco- Arabic Medicine). Even hieroglyphics from the ancient Egyptians show pictures of cupping in use. Cupping is used to remove toxicity, congestion and inflammation from the body. Circular shaped cups are placed on the skin with a vacuum that forms an airtight seal. Cupping has relaxation and therapeutic benefits. It lifts toxins and impurities, increases circulation and brings nutrient rich blood and oxygen to the affected area. It works on excess and deficient conditions. Being non-invasive and relaxing, patients often fall asleep during treatment. Typically a cupping mark remains on the skin for a few days following treatment. The extent of the mark is an indication of the level of stagnation and release of toxins in the individual. Cupping therapy is suitable for adults and children.
Cupping Therapy has been used to successfully treat health issues on its own or in combination with other treatments:

GENERAL PAIN RELIEF: arthritis, joint pain, inflammation, stiffness, sciatica,
RESPIRATORY COMPLAINTS: respiratory complaints (asthma, sinusitis, cough)
EAR NOSE THROAT: earache, congestion, tonsillitis, influenza;
SKIN CONDITIONS: eczema, psoriasis, insect bites, boils, circulatory problems and cellulite.
DIGESTIVE COMPLAINTS: constipation, heartburn, indigestion and irritable bowel syndrome.
NERVOUS SYSTEM: headaches, migraine, epilepsy, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, nervous tension and DETOXIFICATION: It draws wastes and impurities from the blood, underlying organs and the skin. Cupping can assist in weight loss if accompanied by correct diet and exercise.
