If you’ve ever gotten the blues or been green with envy, you already know the powerful associations our body and mind makes with colours. Colour therapy, also known as Chromotherapy, works on the principle that everything we touch and see around us has a living pulse inside it – this includes plants, gemstones, crystals, water, light, and even the food we eat. Colour is simply light of different wavelengths and frequencies; and light is just one form of energy that we can actually see. Colours and their corresponding frequencies are also found in the human energy field. If a certain frequency is imbalanced, it will affect that part of the body that resonates or vibrates with that colour frequency. A trained colour therapist assesses imbalances that are revealed in a session and uses gentle therapeutic methods to enhance health and wellbeing.
TIP: Between your sessions you may be advised to wear certain colours, eat foods of these colours or visualise them several times a day.
