Join Vegilicious for a day visit to Farm Sanctuary SA, and hang out with some lucky rescued cows, pigs and chickens! This event forms part of the Cape Town Vegan Challenge | October 2017.
Cost: FREE! But space is limited to 30 – and available only to CTVC participants. Sign up here: http://vegilicious.co.za/ctvc/
Demi and Maria from Farm Sanctuary will be giving a short talk about the sanctuary, and they'll introduce us to the animals and share their stories. If the weather is good, you can also take a mud bath with the pigs and then wash up in the outside "hogwash"!
There will be muffins, cookies and coffee for sale at the sanctuary and if you like you can bring some lunch to enjoy on the haybales. Donations to the sanctuary are optional and encouraged :)
You can either meet us there, or you can travel in convoy with us: we'll be leaving around at 12.30 from the Vegan Goods Market (hosted at the Khanyisa Waldorf School in Plumstead). If you meet us at the market you can also grab some lunch there, to eat at the sanctuary.
If you're meeting us there, you can find directions here: http://www.farmsanctuarysa.org/contact.html. Meet us there at about 13.45.
